Valentine Day Ideas For Him
Traditionally, Valentine’s Day is the day that the patron saint of love, Saint Valentine died and was buried. However, today Valentine’s Day is the day of love; it is the day when those who are in love, let their loved one know how much they mean to them, and how their life would be incomplete without them. If you are also in love, then you would already be familiar about this day and how important it is.
However, chances are that you are always at a loss of ideas, when it comes to picking out a gift for the man you love or are trying to decide what special to do, on this special day. While there are plenty of gift choices on offer in the market today, you could always think of doing something on your own, or planning something that is totally unique.
Ideas For Valentine Day For Him
Gifts need not be expensive, because it is the feeling that is associated with the same, that means the most. Chances are that if you hand craft a gift for the man you love, it will be appreciated much more than a gift that you pick out from a line-up at a store near you. Think out of the box and you will certainly be able to come up with something that will make the man of your life smile and fall in love with you, all over again!
If this is a man you truly love, you would know exactly what he likes or dislikes, which should make picking out a gift reasonably easy. For men who are fond of gadgets and accessories, getting the latest IPhone or tablet, would be the best gift possible. You could also get him a Bluetooth set, which will enable him to listen to music in his car or while on the move. If he is health conscious, buy him a heart rate monitor or pedometer.
Arrange tickets for the musical show that he has been talking about or that basketball game, which has been in the news since the past few days. For the food lovers, what better gift than a trip to their favourite restaurant! His favourite restaurant might not be the most sophisticated or posh place, but if that is where he is the happiest, then that is where you should head.
The best gifts for the man you love would be the ones that you make yourself or spend a lot of time and effort planning. After all, what better way to tell him how much he means to you, than by investing the most valuable commodity today – time! Such gifts could vary from scrapbooks that you create with the best photographs of the two of you or a music CD, with all the songs he has always loved. You could combine the two, and create a photo montage, with songs he is fond of.
Give him a day that he will never forget! Start the day by waking him up with breakfast in bed, complete with everything he likes. Make sure you have a rose, along with the tray! Wear something you know he will love and tie a red ribbon around yourself! Hug him tight and whisper the three magical words “I love you” into his ears.
When he reaches office, ensure that there is a bouquet of red roses waiting for him, at his table. Send him regular messages on his phone, and tell him how much you miss him and how much you love him. Let him come home to a house filled with scented candles, red roses and a dinner that you have specially prepared for him.
If your boyfriend or husband is an avid guitar player, how about hand crafting some guitar picks for him? Take regular picks and cut them into heart shapes; add some cute messages on each, like ‘miss you’, ‘love you’, ‘hug me’, ‘hold me’ and so on. For the artistic types, even a love poem or song would be a great gift.
Write down your thoughts on paper and gift it to him or get it framed, so that he can hang it someplace he will get to see your love for him, every single day. In case, you are a writing expert, you can even spend some time, writing an entire novel for him – encompass your entire love story in the pages of a book, that he will cherish for a lifetime. Find an illustrator, who might be able to add a few pictures of you and the man you love in the novel.
Another great idea is to get a special photo shoot done, either just of you or one that has both of you. When you get these photos framed, they will remind you of how much fun you had while getting the pictures clicked. Or how about using a favourite photo to create a jigsaw puzzle that you can spend time solving? Crosswords lovers will also enjoy a crossword that has been created specifically for them. As for the painters, have a session of chocolate body painting, which you can relish in all manners possible!
14 Days of Love
Why should the celebration of the day of love, be restricted to just one day? Why can’t you celebrate your love all week, month or year long? Well, all year might not be possible practically, but you could always make the fourteen days up to Valentine’s Day extra special. Start the month by giving your man, a booklet, which has love coupons that he can ‘encash’, all week long. These could be coupons for massages or candle light dinners or even fourteen kisses!
You could also gift handmade gifts, which could be as simple as a card, to something as elaborate as a collage of some of the best photographs that you have. Think of the most loved midnight snacks of your husband or boyfriend, and make him one, each night, for as many nights as possible. If you can afford it, it would be a great idea to spend the entire week up to Valentine’s Day, at some resort or holiday spot.
For those of you, who can’t afford the leave or the money for a week long holiday, you could always consider just a weekend. You could also have a special Valentine’s Day treat, where you start the day with breakfast in bed, and then a spa day, with a couple’s massage. When you return home, serve him a dinner with champagne and candle light, and end the day in the bathtub, which is filled with rose petals.
Make sure there are plenty of candles in the bedroom (aroma candles would be a great choice) and some soft romantic music playing in the background. Valentine’s Day is the day of love, and no matter what you do, as long as you do it with your heart, it will be appreciated by the man you love, and who loves you back just as much!Valentine Day Ideas For Him,
