A wedding is all about the union of two hearts, but your Big Day is made more memorable and cherishing by the participation of the guests. The guests bless you, pray for you, make you feel special and enjoy the day with you and favors are just a small way of appreciating all that. You can give away just about anything as tokens of love but if you’re looking for something different and something unique you’re reading the right piece!
Ideas For Wedding Favors
If you’re having a bar counter at your wedding you can arrange for a crash course. Your guests can learn to make their own mocktails and cocktails on the spot and can even try their hands in the art of mixing ingredients.
Hire a professional bartender to oversee the bar activities. Your guests might just learn to mix up Sex on the beach, Rob Roy, Mad Hatter or Silk Slipper right at your wedding. You can even arrange for small certificates at the end of their 5 minute crash course.
What Would I Look Like
Everyone loves photos. Arrange for life-size, cardboard cut outs of a bride and groom outfits. Hire a professional photographer. Your guests can have their photos clicked standing behind the dress cut-outs and posing as a bride or as a groom.
If you want to make it funnier you can arrange for costumes or accessories like hats, umbrellas, large sunglasses, flowers, pom-poms to be used props for the photo sessions. Your guests can take home funny memories and even have pictures to remember the moment.
Grab bags are fun to play and always have some surprise in store which gave me a fine idea for a fun and frolic filled favor. Buy prepaid vouchers from restaurants, fashion stores, salons or ice-cream parlors. Put each voucher in a small envelope (you can match the envelope to the theme of your wedding) and put all this in a big bag.
The vouchers could be– 1free hairstyling/ Ice-cream sundaes for 2/ Movie tickets for two etc, choose whatever suits your budget. Instead of handing out the favors ask the guests to put their hands into the bag and pick an envelope. Your guests can use the vouchers later.
Take Away Chocolate
Who does not love chocolates? Even adults love bingeing on those delectable treats. I thought when everyone loves chocolates why not gift them a small chocolate paradise? Decorate a table with a wide array of chocolates. White chocolate, dark chocolates, milk chocolates, liquor chocolates and whatever chocolates you can find.
Arrange these in big bowl. Beside the bowl stack cute take away bags or boxes (you can label each bag/box with the names of the guest). The guests can fill their bag/box with different chocolates. Watch the guests sparkle up as they select their favorite ones from the bowls.
Sweet And Savory
This idea will be loved by most of your guests and is useful too. Buy small jars or bottles of jams, jellies, barbeque sauces, hot sauces, sweet chili sauces etc. Tie cute ribbons around each and hang a small personalized thank you note. Your guests can pick up any bottle they like.
