Choose The Location

The location is one of the most important elements of an Easter egg hunt. You need to find a location that is filled with really great spots to hide the eggs. If you have an outdoor garden then this is a great spot for an Easter egg hunt. You can hide the Easter eggs in the bushes, tree branches, pots, under benches and in the flower beds.

If you do not have enough space in your outdoors for an Easter egg hunt then you can also do it indoors. You can just hide the eggs under the furniture, inside jars or in the pots of your indoor plants. When having an indoor Easter egg hunt, be sure to put away any breakable items to prevent any accidents as the kids scramble around your home hunting for eggs.

When having an Easter egg hunt, it is important to hide the eggs in advance. Hide the eggs before the guests begin to arrive so that they will have no idea where the eggs are hidden. This will make the game more exciting for the kids.

Fill The Eggs With Goodies

To make it even more fun for the young kids, fill the Easter eggs with goodies such as candies or small toys. Fill them in advance so that on the day of the hunt, all that is left to do is hide the eggs. Avoid putting chocolates inside the eggs if you are having your Easter egg hunt on a hot day because they will surely melt and create a mess inside the eggs.

If the kids joining your Easter egg hunt are of different ages then you need to hide the eggs in different heights. Hide some eggs in low places such as bushes, pots and on thick grass so that the small children can easily find them. For the bigger kids, hide the eggs in higher places such as tree branches, window sills and hanging pots.

Adult Supervision

An Easter egg hunt may seem like a completely safe game but it is still important to have adult supervision for the game to prevent an accident. A small child could easily wander into the street or get into an accident in the mad scramble for the Easter eggs.

To prevent any accidents during your Easter egg hunt, assign some adults in different portions of the hunt venue so that they can keep an eye on the kids during the game. Adult supervision is especially important if there are very young kids joining the Easter egg hunt.
