Kids Party Games
Balloon In The Air
In this balloon game you have to blow up balloons, stick on the names of the kids on them. After each kid is assigned a balloon they can throw the balloons all in the air and at the same time push other children balloons on the floor. The kid who manages to keep his/her balloon up for the longest time wins. This is one of the very involving, active and fun games for a kids’ party! Requirement – Balloons.
Duck And Goose
This peppy game is a very popular game and the more people play this game, the better. Duck and goose is played by any age child and is very exciting. The kids sit in a circle in the game. Now one child, named as den, walks around the circle and taps any child naming him or her a duck or a goose. If he or she names them a duck it is fine. If he names them a duck it is fine.
The moment the child is named as a goose they start chasing the den and tries to tap him before he takes their seat. If the child’s seat is taken the same process continues. If not the den has to sit in the middle and wait there until another person is tapped. Requirement: more than four children.
All the kids are to attach a headband on their heads with a name written on it. This name can be of any celebrity or of a familiar person to all. Each kid has to ask a question on his turn and with each question try to decide which celebrity is he/she himself. The sooner a kid guesses the celeb name with the least number of questions, he /she becomes the winner. An amusing game indeed!
Requirement: chits of paper with celeb name written.
Blind Man’s Bluff
Who doesn’t know this game? Blind man’s bluff is an all time favorite. You must also have played it in your childhood days. One of the kids is blindfolded with the help of a cloth. He then has to roam around and catch one child whose name he/ she has to guess.
If the guess is right the blindfold is transferred to the other kid or else he again does the same process. However, if the kid guesses incorrect for the second time he/ she can choose any one else to be blind folded next. And the wonderful one of the Games for kids’ party goes on.
Requirement: A cloth to be tied on the kids’ eyes.
Ghost In The Garden
One kid is selected to act as the ghost in this game. He goes and hides as all the other kids gather at one spot and close their eyes, counting up to 50 or 100 as thought optimum. Then all the children start looking for the ghost and if he is caught he will repeat his role.
However, the kids have to be careful or the hidden child may tag them. The winner is the kid safe while all others have been tagged. This game goes well with all outdoors or big, spacious houses. Requirement: Outdoors, gardens or big, spacious houses.
Seven children are made to stand at one place. The remaining children are sitting with their heads laid on their lap or a table with their eyes closed. They make a fist of their right hand and hold it up. The seven kids walk around the place and each one chooses a kid and touches their fist. Once a child is touched, they stick their thumb up out of their fist to make sure they are not selected twice.
When each of the seven kids have touched a sitting child’s fist, the they say “heads up seven up” in together and each sitting child gets one chance to guess who touched them. If they guess correctly they can change places. If not, the same person has to stay up. He does not get to sit until guesses right. Requirement: No props, just a room with enough space.
Divide all the players into teams and assign the two teams a side in the pool. Assign each team to one side of the pool and strip the pool in two halves with the help of a rope. After defining the boundaries, you have to divide some pool toys and toss them to each team. These act as bombs for each team to toss onto the other, the opponent’s side.
Each team tries to toss all their bombs onto the other side of the pool at their opponents and “blow up” them up. When the time gets over, the team with the lesser number of bombs on their side wins the game. Requirements: pool toys, a pool area and a rope.
Jellybeans Guess( Pony Treats)
Use a jar full of jellybeans of say, a pony’s shape. Choose nice colors to match your party themes. These jellybeans should be counted beforehand. As the kids enter the party, give them a guess on the number of ponies that fill the jar.
Jot down each one’s guess. Now at the end of the bash let the child whose guess is closest to the number of jellybeans in the jar, take them home. It is a really exciting way to start the event. Requirement: Jar, Jellybeans.
Dress up Fun
Encourage the party guests, the little kids to decorate themselves by donning the clothing and accessories that you provide them. Make sure you get pretty attires, catchy and fun to try. If possible, provide a mirror that will add excitement to their act as they can admire themselves while getting ready.
Play fun music to set the mood. Let the kids indulge. Once the little angels are elegantly dressed, give them the opportunity to tap their feet to some dance numbers. Click photos and send them to the kids later with a ‘thank you’ note. Requirement: apparels, accessories.
Tail The Donkey
Woah! Now this is another so very famous game. Tail the donkey is simple. Get a portrait or canvas with a donkey’s picture, quite a huge one. Just blindfold kids one by one and give them a tail attached to a pin that can be fixed on the picture.
As they pin the tail to all places from the nose to the teeth and more it becomes quite a hilarious scene. Requirement: a large picture of a donkey, a pinned tail. Enjoy the bash with these lovely games for kids’ party. These are great games for kids birthday party or even a casually thrown bash.
