CUTENESS is all that comes to the mind when I say baby shower. To me a baby shower is all about welcoming the new life into the world. Most baby showers are now held mid-morning or evening during tea-time. The menu of such showers is mostly bite size food and cup cakes top the list when I say bite-size food.

A cup cake is something that you can go wild and creative with. Cupcakes and Baby shower makes one think of bright colors and lots of cute designs to go for! These cute little things can be your canvass, so go crazy and add on your ideas on them or convey any message through each one. Let me share with you some cute ideas to bring a cup cake to life for your perfect party.

Butter-Butterfly

Babies are often related to beautiful butterflies perhaps because of the fact that both emerge from their “cocoons” looking absolutely breath taking and spreading joy! Any flavor of cup cakes may be taken. Spread bright and different colors of butter cream on each.

Baby Shower Cupcakes

Cut out rolled fondant into butter-fly shape with a shape cutter. Make sure you cut varied colors of butterflies. Attach each butterfly on a cup cake!

Flower Garden

Flowers open to bring color and joy to us and babies too are a blessing that spread color and happiness to the lives of its near and dear ones. To make a flower cupcake all you need is cut fondant flowers of varied colors. Attach at least 2-3 big flowers or several small flowers of different colors on each butter creamed cup cake to make them look like a garden.

OH! MY BABY

Babies are the cutest things to a mother. A mother is so emotional that even her baby’s bib is enough to bring tears to her eyes, and why not? These things are too cute! Think rattles, bibs, milk bottles and onesies. Cut out fondant in shape of all these and attach them to different cupcakes. You will end up with a tray full of cup cakes resembling accessories that the baby will be utilizing on its arrival.

Baby Prints

This is super easy to make. All you need is roll out blue and pink fondants and cut out little hand and foot prints. Blue ones resemble a boy while pink resemble a girl. Attach your little prints on smoothed and creamed cupcakes and watch the mother’s heart leap with joy.

Peek-A-Boo

This is a bit of a work but I assure you the result you will get is beyond imagination. First butter cream cupcake and make sure you put extra cream right at a middle to make a mound. Now cut a fondant in shape of a blanket and lay on top of the cupcake. This resembles a blanket and the mound resembles a baby’s small tummy.

Now roll cream colored fondant to make a head, palms and feet. With help of a knife make fingers; attach this on the cupcake to make a baby peeking from underneath a blanket. Draw eyes, nose and lips with melted chocolate and you get your very own batch of “babies in blankets”.
