Ideas For Easy Thanksgiving Desserts
Pumpkin and chocolate both are coveted on thanksgiving and when they come together it becomes wonderful. You would need pastry flour, all purpose flower, pumpkin puree and spices, caster sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, unsalted butter, salt, eggs and vanilla extract which is optional. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients together and all the egg yolk only to the batter. Whisk the egg white separately and add to the batter, you can add broken nuts if you like. Line a baking tin and pour the batter into it. Move it inside the oven and bake it for an hour. Once done, let it cool on the rack and serve.
This is any day better than the usual pumpkin pie. For the crust you will need all purpose flour, toasted almond, salt, brown sugar, cream cheese and unsalted butter. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, coat a baking tray and set aside.Blend flour, almonds, sugar and salt together until they are fine ground. Then mix the cheese and butter into it until it turns into a smooth dough. Take the tray and evenly line the tray with the dough pressing on the bottom and sides.
Bake the crust for 15 minutes. For the filling you need pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder, dark rum, sugar, salt, cloves, coconut milk and eggs. Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy, then pour it into the baking tray over the crust and bake for an hour. Take out and allow the pie to cool.
Cranberry Upside-Down Cake
This cake though can be made with any other type of fruit instead of cranberries, but i prefer this fruit of the season as it is my favorite. You can try this upside-down cake with your favorite fruit of the season.
This balmy fruit can can be made with Frozen cranberries, brown sugar, unsalted butter, orange juice, all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, caster sugar and milk. Melt the butter with orange juice and brown sugar in a pan and set aside.
Separately heat the cranberries with orange juice. when the latter is done pour it over the melted butter. mix, flour, sugar, baking powder, egg yolks and milk together. Beat the egg whites separately and fold into the mixture.Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F and line a baking pan. Pour the cranberry mixture into the pan. Then pour the batter over the cranberries. Bake it for 20 to 30 minutes. Take it out and serve with whipped cream.
