Decide On The Flowers

You should start off by cutting the stem of the flowers to about 3 inches. If you have selected flowers that do not have a good stem, then you can choose floral wire to make one and give support to the flowers. Cover the stem with floral tape by spiraling it around.

Keep the leaves as a base and angle them properly to ensure that they are not coming out too much from the edges of the flowers. If there are two or three flowers, keep the bloom nice and puffy, by angling the flowers well. Tie the leaves or the greenery to the stem with floral tape and use embellishments and ribbons to decorate the boutonniere. You should use boutonniere pins running parallel to the stem to stick it properly on the clothes. Be careful to not make the pins visible, as that can make the boutonniere look very shabby.
