Homemade Christmas Salad Recipes
Green Vegetable Salad
First boil a few spinach leaves in a little salt water. Don’t do it too much lest it becomes soggy. Now place these leaves into a crystal salad bowl and sprinkle over it pomegranate seeds (1 pomegranate will do). Add some chopped red onions and sprouts. Grate some cheese over this and top it with pistachio pieces. Drizzle it with vinaigrette before serving. Instead of pomegranate you could even use strawberries.
One of the easiest Christmas salad recipes is to mix chopped pieces of spinach, dried cranberries, orange sections, ground walnut altogether and sprinkle it with some cheese. Drizzle the salad with cranberry vinaigrette before serving.
Cut small pieces of broccoli and slightly boil it. Once cool, place them in a salad bowl and add pieces of strawberry to it. For the dressing, blend together red wine vinegar, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and some mustard. Drizzle this over your salad and garnish it with slivers of almond and cashew.
Mix together cut and boiled green beans and kidney beans with salt, pepper and some white vinegar. Add some celery seeds and sauted onion rings over it and mix. Refrigerate the salad and serve it chilled.
Cook some noodles in boiling water with a little salt and oil. When it’s done and cooled down, cut it up into small pieces. Leave it aside. Now chop broccoli into thin slices and place in a salad bowl. Add the noodles to it and sprinkle the dressing over it. For the dressing, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Toss the salad well before serving.
Red Fruit Salad
In a large serving bowl place pieces of cut apples, cherries and cranberries for the red and kiwi, pear and lettuce leaves for the green. For the dressing mix lemon juice, sauted onion, mustard, salt and some soaked poppy seeds in a blender. Pour the dressing over the salad, toss it well and serve immediately.
Cut slices of pears at pour it into a pan with water. Add sugar, red candies and some red colored food coloring and allow it to boil for a few minutes till the pear pieces have begun to turn red. Turn off the flame thereafter and allow it to cool.
Take out the pear pieces and freeze them. In the mean time, place a few iceberg lettuce leaves in a salad bowl. Now take out your frozen red pears and put them into the bowl. Pour the red sugar syrup over it before serving.
Take a shallow and wide bowl and place small pieces of avocado and grapefruit in it. Now mix orange juice, lime juice, some honey and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Pour this mixture into the salad bowl and serve. Garnish it with a few mint and basil leaves if you wish to.

Cream Salad
Place pieces of pineapple, orange and apples in a deep salad bowl. Now mix some cream and cheese together with a dash of pepper. Pour this over the fruits and mix well. Sprinkle coarsely chopped nuts over the salad and serve.
Mix one cut orange with pineapple pieces, coconut flakes, and miniature marshmallows. Pour sour cream over it and toss it well. Refrigerate it for a couple of hours and serve it chilled.
Finely cut circular pieces of cucumber and sprinkle salt over it. Cover it and let it stand for 15-20 minutes. Once this is done, take them out and place them in a salad platter. Add sauted onion over it and then pour half a cup of sour cream over it. Refrigerate it for a while and serve chilled.
Nuts Salad
Take a red and green bell pepper. Cut them into long slices and remove their stem and seeds. Place them in a baking tray lined with aluminium foil. Cook it in the microwave for a few minutes. While these are cooking, roast some pine nuts in a small skillet.
Don’t cook for more than just a couple of minutes. Once the peppers are done, place them on a platter (alternating the red and green color) and place the roasted nuts in the center of it. Season it with salt and pepper and drizzle some olive oil onto it before serving. Mix corn, cashew nuts and figs with cheese, some chopped basil, coriander and mint leaves. Drizzle it with olive oil and toss the salad well before serving.
