Cute Baby Animal Theme For A Baby Shower
If you are on a look out for an uber cute and adorable theme, perhaps the baby animal theme could be just the right one for your baby shower and I am sure that the mommy-to-be will squeal with delight. Think baby elephants, tigers, bears, monkeys, lions and what not!
Personally I feel a jungle full of baby animals are the perfect for a neutral baby shower! You can go “wild” with this darling theme. Another bunch of baby animals that are sure to win everyone’s’ heart are the baby cartoon characters- baby Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, well I could go on and on with the list. Whatever you’re thinking of selecting you can never go wrong with anything that has the word “BABY” in it.
Baby Animal Themed Baby Shower Ideas
You can hand make or buy them. Nowadays you can even print them online. To make some cards you can cut out animal figures and color them in all goofy colors and write the info on the back.
Put your cards in cute envelops. You can use animal print paper to write down your party details. Animal print envelops are cute too.
The Animal Room Décor
TO give the shower venue a “wild” feel, hang plastic palm leaves around the room. You can purchase small baby stuffed toys and put them up around the room. Balloons with animal designs on them and filled with helium can be tied to the stuffed toys or chairs to make the place look pretty.
Create a banner using your computer and make sure you put pictures of lots of baby animals on it. You can cut out animal printed paper to hang around the room. Zebra stripes, lion stripes or deer spots are easily available on paper. You can purchase posters of baby pooh and his friends and tape them to the wall. You can have some jungle music or animal sounds playing at the back.
Baby Animal Centerpiece
This will be really easy to make. Make a diaper cake and decorate with frilly laces and ribbons (you can use animal themed diaper), put a stuffed baby animal toy on top of the cake.
You can fill a basket tied with curled up ribbons with animal shaped chocolates. Melt chocolate and put them in animal shaped moulds. You can get the moulds from a local store. Tie each baby animal chocolate with pink ribbon. You can use these as favors also.
You can select a menu of your choice with appetizers, entrees and desserts. Keep them light and delectable. To add a baby animal touch to the food as well display animal shaped cookies. Cupcakes with animals on top will lend a delightful sight. You can include lots of fresh fruit salads to go with the theme. The cake can be in shape of the mommy-to-be’s favorite animal- A cute pink elephant or an adorable hippo in a tutu!
You can include cute and funny shower games. I have 2 games that have been tested and tried and will go very well with the theme. As prizes you can give away a baby animal stuff toy.
Name My Baby
Make a list of some animals and give a paper and pen to each guest. Ask the guests to guess the name of the baby animal. For example, lion- cub, pig- piglet and so on. You can search for the names on the internet and make a list of atleast 10-15 different animals.
What’s My Group?
This is game where each guest has to name the group of animals, say, lions-pride and bee -swarm, fish-shoal and so on. The guest with the highest number of guesses wins!
The party favors should also complement your baby animal theme. You can get some animal shaped candles in cute, small boxes. Animal shaped salt and pepper shakers or animal shaped card/photo holders can be given out.
Animal shaped cookies or chocolates tied up in a pretty pink box with some ribbon will make the guests really happy.
