Recipe for an amazing Turkey dish

Now that you have armed yourself with all the ingredients, it is time for you to start with the preparation. Let the turkey come to room temperature before cooking. This will bring a rich and aromatic flavour to the dish. You can pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade while you are waiting. Now take the stuffing and press it loosely into the turkey. Do not stuff it too tightly because it will swell during cooking and the stuffing will ooze out.

Arm yourself with some kitchen string and tie the open ends of the turkey. Put some oil in a roasting pan and rub the turkey in it. After a couple of minutes, when the turkey is fully oiled, add the wine and stock. Cover the turkey expertly with some foil and roast. On an average of 20 minutes for every 500gms, the turkey should be allowed to roast for 2 hours and 40 minutes.

After every thirty minutes, remove the foil and add cooking paste. Also, replace the oil. In the last thirty minutes or so, remove the foil so that the turkey is cooked brown. You will know the cooking’s done when the juices don’t run off. Insert a skewer inside the turkey to make sure that the juices are not pink. Now carve off the legs and cook it while you wrap the rest in two layers of foil.

Now increase the temperature of the oven to 200 degrees and cook the legs for another thirty minutes. Meanwhile, you can scoop the stuffing out and prepare the gravy along with your other dishes. Cooking the perfect Christmas dinner recipe is not difficult as long as you follow this process. You can bet on the fact that guests will be asking for second helpings before the first are over!
